A charity cycling event to raise funds for The Yorkshire Air Ambulance has already attracted more than 100 entries

FGR cycling have announced their Yorkshire charity bike ride will take place on Sunday September 26th 2021.

Cyclists of every ability will be able to take part in a variety of different routes. There is a 10 mile route for beginner cyclists and a 45 mile and 90 mile event for the more confident cyclists.

FGR Cycling said: “Routes will be extremely well planned and have full tech and support cover.”

The first FGR Cycling event took place in the North East of England in 2018; the charity being The Great Northern Air Ambulance. This event will also be taking place this year, on Sunday September 5th 2021.

FGR Cycling added: “We have now raised over £10,000 for The Great North Air Ambulance and will hopefully smash our targets each year the events take place.”

With just under 300 people signed up to both events, the organisers, Marc Hall and Graham Purnell, hope to make it a celebration of cycling for all participants and spectators.

Marc Hall: “The future of FGR Cycling is to host an event in every region in aid of that regions air ambulance … We hope by 2025 we have 10 regions benefitting from the events.”
