
A MANCHESTER food blogger runs “mcr_foodjunkie” on Instagram where he shows his 5.82K followers different places to eat around Manchester.
Luke Donnelly’s passion is food photography but he says it comes with some pitfalls.
He said: “From the age of 16 when I started going out for food and drinks. I was always the one at the table taking pictures and stuff.
“The more you do it the more you feel like you’re putting on people when you sat around the table taking pictures sometimes.”
One of his favourite places is Rozafa, a Greek restaurant that is based on Princess Street in Manchester city centre. With two lunch time courses for £9.90 it’s a cheaper option to try what they have to offer.

Covid- 19 has made restaurants and cafes close their doors to the public meaning they are having to find new way to get customers.
The Shack, Bar & Grill in the Northern quarter is one of the businesses that is feeling the impact of the restrictions.
A spokesperson said: “We Started the business in 2013 as there wasn’t really a sports bar serving up burgers etc. in the NQ or in Manchester, so we felt there was a gap in the market.
“The business has massively been impacted by COVID 19 we are yet to do our end of year figures but expecting a 60/70% drop in turnover for the year.”

The Shack has been doing things to try and get through the lockdown and tier system.
In the summer they served takeaway cocktails to enjoy in the hot weather. And in December they are getting into the festive spirit and bring a Christmas market style menu. There will be mulled wine, hot cider and much more to enjoy.
GooeyCo has a kiosk on Ducie Street, they have been growing in popularity since the lockdown started in the Manchester area.
With lines out the door with people wanting to get their hands on the cookies and donuts they have one offer.
They used Deliveroo to grow sales making it available for people to order the sweet treats straight to their door in the Manchester area. Also announcing on their Instagram, they are hopefully going to nationwide delivery, meaning many more people can enjoy their food.
Covid- 19 has had a massive impact on the catering business, but it seems they are finding new and inventive way to keep going through this pandemic.
