
A Heywood Postman has raised £13,490 since the start of Lockdown, for a Heywood foodbank.

Steven Kay has been dressing up and raising awareness about the importance of the foodbank.
Steven said: “I have done this to raise awareness about the much need funds for the foodbank.”
He has been doing this for six years.
He continues: “I have received a lot of donations of food and money mostly at Christmas.
“But I have put all my focus and energy from doing it from January to November.”
During the last nine months Steven has used his social media to raise money for the foodbank.
By using his social media platform, he has helped to cheer up the community, and bring the community together.
Spokesperson from Heywood foodbank said: “He has done a fantastic job raising this money since March.

“Doing different things, but the most popular is the fancy dressed,
“He has been a credit to the community, getting the whole community involved from young children to small businesses,
“I have no words to describe him, a credit to the community.”
Steven has not set himself an individual target, but he hopes to continue fundraising for the foodbank.
Steven hopes to continue bringing joy to the community of Heywood.
